artist statement
Zöe Louise Platt is a visual artist working somewhere between craft, graphic design and sculpture. Working with simple materials, predominantly paper, she makes work on and with surface across two and three dimensions. She likes making ‘things’ that often cross the line between image and object, exploring visual and physical relationships between composition and construction. Her design sensibilities lean in to constraints and logic, whilst her inclination for hand-based making embraces the intuition and deviation that emerge through material behaviours.
